Bezalel Porten

Bezalel Porten, the leading authority on the Elephantine papyri, is a Professor Emeritus of Jewish history at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He wrote Archives from Elephantine (Univ. of California, 1968) and wrote Textbook of Aramaic Ostraca from Idumea (Eisenbrauns, 2014) with Ada Yardeni.
