Burke O. Long

Burke O. Long is the William R. Kenan Professor of the Humanities and Religion Emeritus at Bowdoin College, in Maine. His current research focuses on the ways in which the Bible is appropriated in American Culture. Recent publications include Planting and Reaping Albright: Politics, Ideology and Interpreting the Bible (Penn State, 1997) and Imagining the Holy Land. Maps, Models and Fantasy Travels (Indiana University Press, 2003).
