Ernest-Marie Laperrousaz

Ernest-Marie Laperrousaz (d. 2013) first excavated in Israel in the spring of 1954, when he joined the team searching the Qumran Caves where the famed Dead Sea Scrolls had been discovered. He also took part in the premiere excavation season at Masada. An historian and archaeologist, Professor Laperrousaz is a professeur honoraire in religious studies of the École pratique des hautes études in Paris, France.
