George J. Brooke

George J. Brooke is the Rylands Professor of Biblical Criticism and Exegesis at the University of Manchester, England. He began his Dead Sea Scrolls research in 1974 and in 1992 joined the international team of editors, with responsibility for the Cave Four Genesis commentaries. Brooke has authored and edited numerous books including Reading The Dead Sea Scrolls (SBL, 2013), Exegesis at Qumran (JSOT Press, 1985), Temple Scroll Studies (JSOT, 1989) and Septuagint, Scrolls and Cognate Writings (Scholars Press, 1992).
