Giorgio Buccellati

Giorgio Buccellati is a Professor Emeritus of the Ancient Near East and History at the University of California, Los Angeles. He also founded the International Institute for Mesopotamian Area Studies, the Cotsen Institute of Archaeology and Undena Publications. He has directed digs in Iraq, Turkey and Syria and specializes in Akkadian and Mesopotamian studies.
