Morton Smith

Morton Smith (d. 1991) was a Professor Emeritus of Ancient History at Columbia University. His many publications include Jesus the Magician (HarperCollins, 1978), Palestinian Parties and Politics That Shaped the Old Testament (Columbia University Press, 1971), and his most infamous The Secret Gospel (HarperCollins, 1973).
