Wendy Beckett has hosted popular TV series, including Sister Wendy’s Story of Painting, and has written numerous books on art. A vowed sister living in isolation on the grounds of a Carmelite monastery in Norfolk, U.K., her contemplative vows allow her only two hours of work or writing each day.
