Sidnie White Crawford (“Scribe Links Qumran and Masada”) is the chair of the classics and religious studies department at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. She is also president of the Albright Institute of Archaeological Research in Jerusalem. As a member of the scroll publication team, she has written extensively on both the scrolls and the sectarian community of Qumran that she believes produced them.
Jeffrey R. Zorn (“Is T1 David’s Tomb?”) is adjunct associate professor in the department of Near Eastern Studies at Cornell University. He has worked extensively at Tel Dor on the coast of Israel and is currently working on the final publication of the Area G excavations. He has also published numerous studies on the site of Tell en-Nasbeh, probably Biblical Mizpah of Benjamin.
Dead Sea Scrolls authority and historical Jesus scholar Geza Vermes (“From Jewish to Gentile”) is professor emeritus of Jewish Studies at the University of Oxford in England. He is the author most recently of Christian Beginnings: From Nazareth to Nicaea, A.D. 30–325, which has received rave reviews in Great Britain and will be published in the United States by Yale University Press next spring.
