Bread—that basic staple common to peoples across space and time—is the focus of this new exhibit in Jerusalem. Featuring a variety of ceremonial breads and baking utensils, as well as multimedia documentation of bread’s important role in daily and ritual life, this exhibit takes a close look at the symbolic, liturgical and cultural significance of bread in the Jewish, Christian and Muslim communities.
