Blessed are you that hunger now, for you shall be filled.

Gospel of Thomas, Saying 68

Q 6:22 = Matthew 5:11

Blessed are you when you are hated and persecuted, and no place will be found, wherever you have been persecuted.

And as you wish that people would do to you, do so to them.

Gospel of Thomas, Saying 34

Q 6:39 (Matthew 15:14)

If one blind person leads another blind person, both of them will fall into a hole.

Surely a blind person cannot lead a blind person? Will they not both fall into pit?

Gospel of Thomas, Saying 26

Q 6:41–42 = Matthew 7:3–5

You seek the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but you do not see the beam that is in your own eye. When you take the beam out of your own eye, then you will see well enough to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the beam that is in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, “Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye,” when you yourself do not see the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first remove the beam that is in your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck that is in your brother’s eye.
