Avner Raban

Avner Raban (d. 2004) was a Director of the dig at Caesarea and responsible for the underwater portion of the excavations. He was a founding member of the Institute for Maritime Studies and the Department of Marine Civilizations at the University of Haifa. Raban was also a founding member of the Undersea Exploration Society of Israel.
