John J. Collins

John J. Collins is the Holmes Professor of Old Testament Criticism and Interpretation at Yale Divinity School. He served as editor in chief of Dead Sea Discoveries, Supplements to the Journal for the Study of Judaism and the Journal of Biblical Literature. In addition to having taught at University of Notre Dame, University of Chicago and Harvard University, he served as the President of the Society of Biblical Literature. He has written over 300 books and articles at both the scholarly and popular levels.
