Michal Artzy

Michal Artzy is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Maritime Civilizations and in the Department of Archaeology at the University of Haifa, in Israel. At the University of California, Berkeley, she conducted pioneering work in neutron activation analysis—the use of nuclear power to analyze the composition of pottery, thereby enabling archaeologists to identify the location of the clay from which the pottery was made.
