Nadav Naʼaman
Nadav Na’aman was a Professor of Jewish History at Tel Aviv University from 1975 until he retired in 2007. Na’aman won the Yad Izhak Ben-Zvi prize for the history of Eretz-Israel in 2004 and the Landau prize of Miph’al ha-Payis in the field of Biblical and Jewish history in the Biblical period in 2006. He has written numerous books and articles on a wide variety of subjects including Historiography in the Ancient Near East and in the Bible, the History of Israel in the Monarchial Period and the Land of Canaan in the Amarna Period. Currently Na’aman is working on a Mineralogical and Chemical Study of the Amarna Tablets, a project being carried out by the Archaeology Department at Tel Aviv University.
