Yizhar Hirschfeld

Yizhar Hirschfeld (d. 2006) was a Professor of Classical Archaeology at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.  His major excavations included the Roman baths of Hammat Gader, Ramat Hanadiv, several monasteries in the Judean desert, and Ein Gedi. He authored Qumran in Context (Hendrickson, 2004).
